This walk consists of three loops, which provide oceanfront views, a new forested trail, and the world's smallest harbor (complete with Coast Guard Station). Also, some interesting vacation homes. The views and the breezes are refreshing.
Carpools will leave the Valley River Inn, 1000 Valley River Way in Eugene, at 7:15 a.m. and return there about 5 p.m. Each rider pays the driver $10 to help cover car expenses. Following the walk, the carpoolers will probably choose a restaurant along the coast to have lunch together; however, lunch arrangements are always optional for each rider/walker.
Persons traveling to Depoe Bay on their own should plan to meet the group at about 10:15 a.m. at the start point, Gracie's Sea Hag Restaurant, 58 North Hwy. 101 in Depoe Bay. Directions to the Sea Hag, and further information on this walk, can be found by clicking on the "Other Oregon Events" bar at the top left of this page, then "Year Round Events" and scrolling down to "Depoe Bay - Three Loops by the Sea". Alternately, the same information on this and thousands of other Volkswalks and Volksbikes throughout the United States can be obtained by clicking on the "National Events" bar on this page, then "Events" and following the prompts.
