|Social, potluck, club meeting, and white elephant gift exchange
||5:30 PM to 8:30 PM
||Notice: we are meeting a week earlier in the month than usual.
Come to the clubhouse at Summerfield Estates, 1833 Summerfield Avenue (off Terry Street) for an evening of fun and frivolity. The social hour begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by a potluck dinner at 6 p.m. For the potluck, our president, Sally Ross, will provide smoked turkey; bring a side dish or dessert that will complement the turkey. Also, bring your own table setting and a beverage of your choice (no alcohol; coffee will be provided).
At about 7 p.m., we'll have a short club meeting. We will discuss the Ocean Shores, WA, walking festival in February, our three new hosted walks for 2017, and the upcoming walks in Eugene, Albany, Lincoln City, and Portland. Committee reports will be given, and other club business taken care of.
Following the short meeting, we'll enjoy our annual white elephant gift exchange. Wrap up something you no longer have any use for, or simply don't want, and bring it to the exchange (often, it's something you "won" at last year's exchange). We'll dispose of it for you, and reward you with somebody else's white elephant. "Stealing" will occur, so don't get too attached to your new-found gift.
The fun and frivolity will probably end around 8:30 p.m.
