10 km. (6.2 miles), plus added optional 2.7 km. (1.7 miles), all rated moderately easy.
This walk starts at Woahink Lake on the east side of Hwy. 101, then goes over the highway by pedestrian overpass to the west side of Honeyman State Park, one of the state's most popular parks. On the west side, the walk goes along the shores of Cleawox Lake (partly surrounded by sand dunes), then through the large forested campground before returning to the start point. The optional 2.7 km. is on the Woahink Lakeside Trail. Parts of the trails may be muddy following heavy rains.
There is no carpool scheduled for this walk. People should meet in Florence at 9:45 a.m. to register at The Sportsman, a sporting goods store at 249 Hwy. 101 (just north of the Siuslaw River bridge). The start point is about 2 miles away by car.
