Defoe Bay is an interesting small fishing village reminiscent of bygone days mixed with some newer "modern" areas. The walk offers much variety: a seaside walk along bluffs with crashing waves and water spouts, a whale watching building and the World's Smallest Navigable Harbor, a Coast Guard station, a forest trail, and some nice older homes.
We will not have an organized carpool to Depoe Bay. People may group together as they wish to arrive at the start point, Gracie's Sea Hag Restaurant, at 10 a.m. The restaurant is at 50 North Hwy. 101, near the main intersection in Depoe Bay.
Directions to the restaurant, and further details of this walk, can be found by clicking on the "Other Oregon Events" bar at the top left of this page, then "Year Round Events" and scrolling down to "Depoe Bay - Three Loops by the Sea". Alternately, the same information on this and thousands of other Volkswalks and Volksbikes throughout the United States can be obtained by clicking on the "National Events" bar on this page, then "Events" and following the prompts. The National Events page also has links to Volkswalks in Canada and 47 other countries worldwide.
