Oregon City walk
5 km. (3.1 miles) or 10 km. (6.2 miles), both rated easy.
Many city parks and new residential areas are featured on this walk. The steep hills are bypassed. Near the start/finish point is an extensive Saturday market.
Carpools leave the Willamalane Adult Activity Center, 215 West C Street in Springfield, at 8 a.m. and return there about 4 p.m. Each rider pays the driver $10 to help cover car expenses. Following the walk, the carpoolers will probably choose a restaurant along the way to have lunch together; however, lunch arrangements are always optional for each rider/walker.
People traveling to Oregon City on their own may meet the carpoolers at about 10 a.m. at the start point, the Clackamas County Red Soil Campus, 150 Beavercreek Road, Oregon City. Or. they may choose to walk on their own, starting anytime between 8 a.m. and noon from the Campus.
