Clearwater (Middle Fork) Trail cleanup
13 km. (8 miles), rated easy (some people can choose to clean up the picnic area and boat ramp, hardly any distance at all).
Time again to do the quarterly cleanup of this beautiful paved path along the Willamette River and through Dorris Ranch in Springfield. If enough people turn out, we'll start at both ends of the trail and work towards each other. This way, we'll have the trail all pretty again by noontime.
The "work" is pretty easy. Willamalane Park and Recreation District provides long-handled "nippers", grocery bags and buckets. All you need provide is a good pair of work gloves.
Carpools will leave the Willamalane Adult Activity Center, 215 West C Street in Springfield, at 9 a.m. and probably return at noontime. No carpool fee. After this outing, some of the "workers" may opt to have lunch together at a Springfield restaurant; this is purely optional, of course.
If you wish to drive by yourself to the "worksite", please come to WAAC at 9 anyway, so that "assignments" can be made.
